Information on jewellery photography
I have a number of jewellery designers and wholesale jewellery clients, their requirements vary enormously from one to another.
An item of high value requires the highest standard of photography together with a degree of retouching to produce images suitable for high quality brochure work.
At the other end of the scale are those less expensive items of jewellery, where images are only going to appear on the web.
What ever the item , they both requires the same expertise applied to lighting, viewpoint, etc. to get the best from each piece.
I provide a range of photography options and price plans to suit your specific requirement, give me a call, I'm always happy to discuss options with you.
| Jewellery is often photographed on white with high key lighting, traditionally to provide as few reflections as possible, however some reflections are always neccessary to define shape, natural shadows and reflections should only be removed if they are detromental to the shot. | ![]() |

Earrings can be photographed hanging or laid down. If hung, the means by which they have been hung will require some retouching to remove from the image. Often one earing is photographed, then copied and pasted side by side, making a much cleaner image. |
